Birmingham July Meet

lunes, 21 de julio de 2014

Yesterday I traveled over to Birmingham to attend a bloggers meet held by Jess and Katrina. Apart from a few stressful transport crisis' I had a really good day. This has been my second meetup in 3 months of blogging and another great experience has made me so exited to go to loads more in the future.

It was a fairly small meet (compared to my last one anyway) so I was easily able to chat to everyone there, getting to know each person quite well, which is definitely the best part of meetups for me.

I'd never been to Birmingham before so Jess met me at the station to guide me to the bullring where we met up with everyone else and shopped for a few hours. Birmingham for me was like Hamleys is to a toddler. I was probably quite an embarrassing shopping companion getting so over exited in Selfriges and Forver21 especially (Sorry everyone). For a group of fashion and beauty bloggers we did extremely well barley spending anything between us!

After shopping we all headed to Pizza hut for a really nice meal where we were greeted by our gift bags (resisted taking a proper look until the train) and some amazing marshmallows from Boomf with the meetup details written on which again I got very over exited about!

After the meal we had a talk from Becky who runs the company Harlequin cosmetics. It was a really inspiring talk about the company she had created from scratch with her family in her own home. We passed around a few samples and everything smelt amazing, like seriously amazing! I've actually been lucky enough to win a little beauty box from them recently which will be featured in a post soon. They are working on a Christmas collection at the minute which I cannot wait to try!

I had to rush of quite quickly after the meal to catch my train. It's a good job I did as with the bad weather and lightening hitting the track all trains to Nottingham and surrounding areas were cancelled.
I ended up having to plan a route that would take me to a station then back into Notts from there, negotiate free tickets ( I understand it wasn't the train lines fault but I was hardly paying £35+ for new tickets to go miles out of my way) and then find the platform of my new train in a station id never been to before all within the space of about 7 minutes.
On the plus side I got the extra travel time to have a good look through my gift bags which were a m a z i n g. Jess and Katrina had clearly put so much work in to put everything together, they were two tote bags filled with amazing things that I can't wait to try. Thanks so much girls!

I wont talk about anything in detail as I'm thinking of doing a 2 or 3 part haul and review of everything. Thank you to all the brands that got involved!

Thanks again for the day Jess and Katrina and to all the girls Chloe,  Char,  Sam,  Charlee,  Zoe,  Becky,  Mish,  Ellie,  Laura and Tasha.
I had a great day with you all.
Bring on the next meet!
